Connell Real Estate & Development Co., a division of The Connell Company, is a vertically-integrated, full service real estate company with acquisition, development, construction management, leasing, asset management, property management and financial structuring activities.
Recognized as one of the largest commercial real estate owners and managers in New Jersey, Connell takes pride in maintaining its crown jewel, Connell Corporate Park, a 1.5 million square foot, Class A suburban office campus located on 185 park-like acres, to the highest standards. In addition to serving as the corporate headquarters for Connell and its real estate operations, Connell Corporate Park’s tenant roster boasts Fortune 500 firms such as AIG, HP, Celgene and L’Oreal, to name a few. Future plans for the campus include a 280,000 s.f. Class A office building. Connell is currently developing a 174-room Embassy Suites Hotel in the center of Connell Corporate Park which is anticipated to open in 2016.
Connell is also an active owner, developer and manager of multifamily rental properties and mixed-use residential properties. Since 2010, the Company has diversified its real estate holdings by acquiring seven Class A multifamily assets totaling 1,046 units in Austin, Charlotte, Denver, San Antonio, Scottsdale, and Seattle. Connell’s current development pipeline includes over 1,000 Class A luxury units in Houston, Portland, Scottsdale and Seattle.
With the support of its dedicated team of experienced and versatile professionals in development, construction, property management, asset management, and financial structuring, Connell’s acquisition team is aggressively looking for sound commercial, multifamily and mixed-use properties. Connell is also able to rely on its internal tax, accounting and legal departments to efficiently evaluate and participate in any real estate opportunity. Connell has a large capital base and is extremely conservative on its development projects. As an example, Connell used only internal cash to develop Connell Corporate Park which today remains completely debt free.
