Construction Management and Development
Connell’s Construction Management and Development team is comprised of in-house engineers, construction and development staff to address major construction projects, capital improvements and asset upgrade programs across its entire multifamily and commercial real estate portfolio. The team has over 65 years of combined construction experience and expertise and its staff has been responsible for over 10 million square feet of ground up development in the residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use sectors.
Connell’s team works to create value at every stage of the development process. From site selection, due diligence, market assessment, zoning approvals, and construction cost estimating, to value engineering and turn-key delivery, Connell professionals work with senior management at every step of the development and construction process.
As a full service real estate company, Connell is able to provide commercial tenants turnkey solutions for newly rented space. Connell can handle many of its tenant requirements with its in-house staff, but also acts as a general contractor, to handle larger construction projects. Connell prides itself on working toward making the tenant's experience as easy as possible, by working towards completing projects on time and within budget.
Connell’s dedicated multifamily specialists are responsible for cost analysis, architectural, mechanical and engineering due diligence and drawing reviews, construction oversight of third party general contractors and other due diligence matters for new acquisitions and new development projects. In addition, this in-house capability permits Connell to implement upgrade programs for its multifamily properties and to complete major construction of unfinished assets acquired for conversion to rental apartment properties.
