Acquisitions
Connell’s Acquisition team is responsible for identifying sound real estate properties for The Connell Company. Connell is actively looking to diversify its holdings outside of New Jersey and is targeting acquisition and development opportunities in suburban and urban markets nationwide. As part of that diversification strategy, Connell has acquired a flex building in Livermore, CA, developed a mixed-use property in Cohasset, MA, and accumulated a multifamily portfolio of over 1,000 units in Austin, Charlotte, Denver, San Antonio, Scottsdale and Seattle.
Connell will pursue real properties independently as well as through joint venture arrangements with experienced owner-investors, developers and operating partners with established track records. Connell’s ability to utilize its other in-house expertise including Construction Management and Development, Property Management and Operations and Financial Structuing teams as well as its in-house legal, accounting and tax departments, allow it to evaluate opportunities thoroughly and quickly and also to provide assistance to prospective joint venture partners through every aspect of the due diligence and management process. Connell is in the unique position of having minimal corporate debt and a large, liquid capital base. This allows Connell to target long range investments and projects without absolute reliance on third party capital sources.
Connell’s Acquisition team is currently targeting Class A multi-family housing properties in select high growth areas of the United States. Connell intends to hold these properties for generations.
